Geo Hash Experiment

This is an experiment to see if a predictable location tag based on latitude and longitude can also be useful. A geo hash is a progressively detailed division of the Earth's surface. The first letter is a fraction of latitude, and the second letter is a fraction of the longitude. Each subsequent letter pair is a fraction of that fraction, or a grid within a grid. To specify a larger, less specific area, use fewer letters in the hash. The red box indicates the area specified by the geo hash value.
